Ashkelon National Park, situated on a range of sandstone cliffs, is a beautiful National park surrounded by white sands and blue sea. The park also has a vast area of manicured lawns on which one can set up a tent for night camping. In addition, some interesting ancient artefacts can be seen in this park. One of these is the Canaanite City Gate, the oldest arched gate of its kind in the world, dating back to the 18 hundreds.
Ashkelon National Park is one of the only National Parks where one can camp right next to the beach with facilities that include lighting, picnic table, bonfire areas, restrooms and showers.
