Bitan Aharon Nature Reserve is a small, but beautiful reserve which is best visited in the spring. During late Winter and Spring months, the hills are filled with flowers including Hyacinths, Lillies, Safron and Cyclamen. A short hike through the reserve starts in Beit Harishonim, on a hill with a gorgeous view which reminds one of Tuscany. The walk, on a marked path through the reserve, leads one to a some ancient burial caves. These caves have bats inside and one is not allowed to enter them.
This hike is suitable for the whole family but not stroller friendly. Bring Wellington Boots if its been raining!
