The Ecological Park in Hod Hasharon is a lovely place to spend an hour to two, especially with young kids. The park is not big and consits of a cicular walkway perched on a beautiful artificially made lake. The lake has fish and birds in it for viewing. Some come to this park for birdwatching. On a winter’s day, this park is great for puddle jumping and can get very muddy. There is no shade and no playground. There is a coffee cart in the park for snacks, hot and cold drinks. This park is open to the public free of charge. If you are looking for another attraction close by, Har Hazevel (the Garbage Mountain) is a good option.
