The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens is a great place to spend a day. One can either take a picnic or eat at the charming café overlooking the pond. The gardens are mostly shaded, but there is some walking in the sun to get to the different and unique spaces within the garden. The attractions in the garden include African mud huts, Bonsai exhibits, beautiful trees and flowers. Our favorite activity was the Treetop Walk. The rainforest (greenhouse) in the gardens, boasts many different kinds of orchids and is a must see. During the summer there are also water activities for the kids and on Saturdays, free face painting and origami activities (subject to availability).
