On The River (על הנהר) restaurant is found on the Jordan River close to the joining of the river with the Kinneret. This part of the Jordan River is called Yardenit and is a baptism site which is frequented by Christian Pilgrams.
On The River is an indoor-outdoor restaurant serving fresh seasonal cuisine. It is a bistro style restaurant that has a good variety of food options from fish to meat and even pizza. It is suitable either for a romantic date night, or for an early night out with the kids. The food is lovely but the setting is outstanding . It doesnt get much more magical then this. Fairy lights ,Eucalyptus Trees, and ducks floating on the river make this one of the most picturesque restaurants in Israel. The restaurant is currently open only in the evenings and needs advanced booking.
