Tel Dan Nature Reserve offers something for the whole family. The reserve is not big and has 2 routes. The short route (about ½ km) is completely paved and has beautiful views of the Dan river and a lot of greenery. This route takes you to a shallow wading pool. This is the only area in the reserve you are allowed to enter the water. The short route is stroller friendly.
The long route is much more interesting and has even better views of the strong flowing Dan River. There are also some ancient ruins in the reserve dating back to the Canaanite era. The long route took us about an hour and a half to see everything and can certainly be done with kids. Our favorite part of Tel Dan was the section called Gan Eden (found on the long route), a picturesque route where kids can hop from stone to stone.
Tel Dan is a national park and needs advanced booking It is a very popular reserve. Avoid this place on Shabbat unless you get there when it opens ( at 09.00).
