Mount Arbel offers breathtaking views over much of the north of Israel including the Jordan Valley, Sea of Galilee, Golan Heights and even Mount Hermon. Besides the viewpoints, other highlights include remains of an ancient synagogue and cave fortresses nestled inside the rock. There are a variety of routes one can do in this reserve. This map shows all the options. An easy option is about a kilometer circular route on top of the mountain visiting the synagogue and taking in the views. Other options involve descending the mountain to get to the caves and the Arbel stream. The descents and ascents are quite steep and not suitable for young kids. If you decide to take your kids to this reserve, keep an eye on them! There are many steep drops without any barriers. Arbel National Park needs advanced booking. To book click here
