Ben Gurion, Israel’s 1st Prime Minister, always dreamed of living in the desert and turning it into something beautiful. After retiring, he relocated south to Kibbutz Sde Boker. and lived his final days there. Gurion’s final wish was to be buried in the Negev, and today, his tomb is found next to his wife’s in a gorgeous desert setting with magnificent views of the Tsin Canyon and Ovdat Highlands. The area surrounding his grave has also been turned into a national park. In this park, you will find breathtaking views, a beautiful green shady park and many Ibex wandering around. This park is truely a special place and worth a visit .
