Hamat Tiberias is a national park found in Tiberias. It consists of 4-5 natural hot pools for bathing in, at varing temperatures (25 -60 degrees celsius). The water is heated by saline hot springs and their steam, beneath the surface of the ground.
Besides the baths there is also a small museum of archaelogical remains of an ancient hamam and synagogue. There is a short film within the synagogue which is the highlight of this national park, especially for kids. Hamat Tiberias is not recommended on the weekends, as it gets very busy.
