This hike goes down as one of my favorite cave hikes and has so much to offer. Horvat Midras (חורבת מדרס) is found just south of Bet Shemesh near Britannia Park. It’s about a 2km circular hike and is filled with caves, beautiful views and amazing picnic spots. One walks the circular routes and stops at each cave to explore. The highlight of this hike was a 20min crawl through a tunnel in the first cave . This is not for the faint hearted nor those that don’t like small spaces . Head torches are a must! This hike is mostly unshaded (besides within the caves) and therefore best suits a winter’s day.
