Little Switzerland

Little Switzerland is a hike that received its name because of its similarity to the trees and greenery seen in Switzerland. This gorgeous trail has magnificent views and can be done as a short route (1.5km circular) or a longer route.

The short route starts at the parking lot (Waze link). Follow the red route down until you come to a group of trees where you can see a sign with a green and red crossing. If you are wanting to return, follow the green route up to the parking lot. The green route involves some climbing of rocks to get back to the car and is a lot of fun for the whole family. There are also some trees to climb and shaded spots for picnicking around the mark where the green and red routes meet. This 1.5km is mostly shaded and therefore fine for a summer’s day. It is an easy hike but does invlove some climbing .

If you want to make this into a longer hike, here is an option for a nice 8km hike in the area

The Hai Bar Nature Reserve, is right next to Little Switzerland and the two can be combined as a fun filled day for the kids.
