Migdal Tsedek is a new national park which is located near Rosh Haayin (close to the centre of Israel). Besides large open spaces and beautiful landscape, this national park also boasts an ancient Crusader Fortress which can be entered. Around the fortress are various paved walking paths revealing scenic views. The park around Migdal Tzedek creates a “green corridor” that is important for the preservation of wild animals in the area, including hyenas and gazelles.
While excavating parts of the interior fortress, archaeologists found remnants from the First Temple Period three meters under the Crusader floor. Conservation work for this site has been going on for over a decade.
