In the heart of Emek Hefer, flows the Alexander River. On this river one will find a bridge, called the Turtle Bridge. This name is given because underneath this bridge, one can find soft shelled turtles swimming in the river. At this location,, you will also find a wooden playground, pony riding, picnic spots and in winter, grapefruit picking. In winter, this area becomes muddy and around the bridge becomes a great place for puddle jumping. Nahal Alexander flows into the sea North of Beit Yanai. One can walk from The Turtle Bridge to the sea. Directions for this hike can be found here. It is about a 4km linear hike.
