This National Park, found in the Carmel Mountains near Haifa, is a World Hertiage Site as well as a national park. The site consists of a four prehistoric caves that one can explore. The reserve has a variety of hiking trails suitable for the whole family. There is also an audiovisual tour. One of the routes in the reserve, is the barefoot route where children and adults are encouraged to take their shoes off to experience the trail
Nahal Mearot is not shaded and therefore suits a cloudy autumns day.
