This National Park, found in the Carmel Mountains near Haifa, is a World Hertiage Site as well as a national park. The site consists of a four prehistoric caves that one can explore. The reserve has a variety of hiking trails suitable for the whole family. They vary from 400 meters long to 4 kilometers long. There is also an audiovisual experience in one of the prehistoric caves. There is also a short barefoot walk where children and adults are encouraged to take their shoes off to experience the trail
Nahal Mearot is not shaded and therefore suits a cloudy autumns day.
