Ramon Crator Colors is a relatively new national park in Mitzpe Ramon. In Hebrew this park is called צבעי מכתש רמון. This area, previously used for mining minerals, has undergone restoration and been turned into a fascinating geological park. Some of the rocks found in this park are over 200 million years old!
The park is a drive through. You drive and stop at various points, and walk around. There are beautiful places to take photos, have a picnic and just soak up the atmsophere. This park even has a water hole (filled with rain water) that looks clear enough to swim in! Kids will love this park as there are many rocks to climb, jump over or simply build towers with.
