Banias Hanging Path

The Banias Hanging Path is a national park found at the beginning of the Banias River (Nahal Hermon) . The park consists of a 1oo meter suspension bridge built of steel and wood that hangs over the Banias River, and leads you to its waterfall. The Banias Waterfall is the biggest waterfall in Israel. The path is almost completely shaded by lovely Oak Trees. This park is very picturesque and reminds one of the beautiful ravines seen in Austria.

The water in the Banias flows all year round, but is most impressive in winter. One is not allowed to enter the water in this park, but there are other entry points into the Banias further south. Here are some details of one of the entry points, where one can tube down the river.

This national park is one of the most popular and certainly one of the most impressive in Israel. This national park needs advanced booking To book, click here
