If you are looking for a spring within an hour of the centre of Israel, then Ein Amikam is a good option. Ein Amikam is found close to Ramot Menashe in Moshav Amikam. It is a part of Nahal Taninim and flows mostly during the winter and spring. You may be able to find water there in the summer if there has been heavy rainfall during the winter. The stream is relatively narrow and not very long. There are a few shady spots to sit. The height of the water is about 20-50cm depending on the season. This stream is small and only about 300m in lenth.
