Ein Haniya is a beautiful newly refurbised national park in Jerusalem. It has 2 natural pools (1.2 m deep) from the Byzantine period and a fountain from the Roman period. There is also a water tunnel about 9.5 m long that is wonderful for children! Reconstructed aqueducts channel the water to an ancient irrigation pool. The park is small, and wheelchair and stroller friendly. There are many spots where you can have a picnic in this reserve, but unfortunately not much shade. Ein Haniya needs advanced booking.
