Har Hazevel (Garbage Mountain) is a popular place for cyclists and hikers and can be found right next to the Ecological Park in Hod Hasharon. This mountain is literally made of recycled waste, covered in mud and sand. There is no smell of garbage on or around the mountain (as today it is no longer an active waste removal site), rather smells of nature and blossoms fill the air.
At the start of the walk is an abandoned stone building which has been partially destroyed. The climb to the top of the mountain boasts beautiful views of city and nature. The walk up to the top is not difficult and can suit the whole family.
