Yaar Hakofim or The Monkey Forest found in Yodfat is an animal shelter with its main emphasis being the welfare of the monkeys found within it. Monkeys are free to roam as they please in this forest. If you allow them to, monkeys will come sit and climb on you. Visitors are encouraged not to grab, pet or feed the monekys. Besides many different species of monkeys, visitors can also see goats, sheep, various birds and other wildlife at the Monkey Forest.
Feeding the monkeys takes place in a certain area. You can buy food for 5nis per tub. Other food is not allowed into the Monkey Forest
